The Sony Alpha 7 V (Sony A7 V) is here, and I had the chance to attend its launch event in Prague. There, I was able to quickly take a few dozen test photos. I’ve decided to share some of them with you here.
Truly Remarkable Results
This isn’t a full review, which would of course require much more time. On the other hand, Sony representatives set up very interesting scenes with street performers, giving us a chance to test the camera quickly.

I couldn’t resist including a few sample photos in the gallery below. I’ll prepare a more detailed review of this new model in the near future, so for now, this is just a brief summary.
If you’re interested in a quick comparison with another camera in the same class, here’s my article: Canon EOS R6 Mark III vs Sony Alpha 7 V – Specs Comparison (Hands-On Impressions).

My Quick Impressions
Image quality is outstanding — which isn’t surprising for this well-known series, but it’s always satisfying to confirm it personally. Of course, more details would require more extensive testing.
Autofocus speed and accuracy are excellent — just like previous models, it’s clear that the autofocus performs very well.

Color rendering is also perfect. The scene (see below) was naturally colorful and visually striking, but it was enough to confirm that the sensor delivers very good results. Of course, the full review will reveal more.
Small Gallery – Sony A7 V Sample Photos
The photos are unedited JPGs straight from the camera. I used the Sony FE 50mm f/1.4 GM lens and shot in Aperture Priority mode at ISO 800.
