The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 lineup offers five models: three Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro variants and two “more basic” Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 models. It’s easy to get a bit lost in all the options, so here’s a detailed comparison table.
In past years, I’ve tested these phones thoroughly because they offer excellent value, balancing solid performance with an affordable price. (Here’s my review of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14, last year’s most affordable model.) In just a few days, I’ll also have a review ready for this year’s top model: the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G — complete with dozens of sample photos and videos.

To be completely honest, it’s quite easy to get lost in the detailed differences between the models. That’s why I’m providing a specs table for all five models here, for a quick and clear comparison. I’ve omitted many of the more minor specs and, based on Xiaomi’s official materials, focused only on the aspects that matter most for cameras and performance.
Here’s a quick summary:
- The three Pro models are: Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro.
- The two base models are: Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G and Xiaomi Redmi Note 15.
- In terms of photography, the key point is that the Pro lineup features a 200 MP sensor. This is a completely new sensor developed by Xiaomi, labeled with the HPE abbreviation. It has a fairly large physical size of 1/1.4”, which is obviously important for photo quality.
- The base models “only” have a 108 MP sensor. The table shows that the Pro models share the same sensors and lenses, while the lowest model, the Redmi Note 15, has only a single lens — the ultra-wide sensor/lens is missing.
- The top model also comes with the highest-end Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. Differences can also be found in the display and battery.
